About The Event
We'll be meeting Oct 10, 17, and 24 in the evenings at 5:00pm Pacific via Zoom. These meetings will be 1.5 - 2 hrs and will be recorded. We'll also have an ongoing chat via Slack for support and conversation.
Week 1 ~ Pre-cleanse
Week 2 ~ Deep cleanse
Week 3 ~ Rejuvenation
The first week is an intro week. The focus is on simply eliminating foods/stuff that create toxins or cause inflammation and gathering supplies. We also begin to incorporate some Ayurvedic morning routines.
The second week is the deeper cleanse, tiered for accessibility. Those who have the time, space, and strength can go deeper and those who have to work, aren't quite as strong, or just don't want to, can choose a more accessible route. The food is traditionally a mono-diet of kitchari. This can be supplemented with takra, with fruit, with vegetables, and potentially with eggs, as needed. The most simplistic is the mono-diet. Personally, I add veggies to my kitchari.
The third week is about regaining the digestive fire, easing back into a seasonal whole foods diet, and rejuvenating the body.
The whole of it can be as deep or as gentle as necessary.
The herbs (which will be explained in detail at our first meeting) are ghee (potentially medicated per dosha), triphala/triphala ghee (or something else you prefer to keep things moving), an option of herbs to cleanse the liver/lymph, digestive stimulants (like ginger), and ultimately, a rasayana (like chyavanprash).
